About 10 days ago, I discovered my PC took 25 minutes to boot to Windows(11). My PC runs 24/7 with an occasional restart. Once Windows opened the internet connection was erratic. I played with it for a day or so, but I was not able to resolve the issue, including several attempts to boot to an Acronis bootable flash drive to recover my C drive. Frustrated and puzzled, I called my local computer shop. (they built the custom PC in 2021). So I disconnected the cables and power and trucked off to the shop. The next day a tech called and explained the Windows 11 installation was corrupted. We discussed the issue and decided to reinstall Windows. He offered to do that and copy my C drive applications to the newly formatted drive. I decided to have a new OS installed and I'd complete the rest. I did not think it would take too long to complete.

I backup my drives (2 NVME, 2 SSD and 2 HDD) using Acronis, to 5 external drives. Of course, some of the latest backup files were corrupted, but I found a few that were intact and was able to open and find most of what I needed for a full recovery. The completion of full recovery is almost done. I had to find old emails with some needed data and links for downloads of applications. I do not delete any emails. They remain in my Gmail inbox. I pay $.99 a month for extra storage. I've done this for many years. I have 161,000 emails in my inbox. I understand I'm rather unique and peculiar, but after arriving at 87 years of age last week, I'm used to me.
