I damaged the rubber eye piece for my Canon EOS R7. How do I replace it? Do I have to take it into a Canon repair shop?

Can you remove it easily? If so I believe Canon would sell it.

No, I see no way of getting it off.

In that case I think you would have to send it to Canon.

I purchased a variant of this for my R5 and really like it. Full directions on eye piece removal.

Thanks, the R7 requires you to take out two screws underneath the eye piece. I didn't see them initially until they were pointed out to me

If you can take it out easily enough then I believe Canon would sell you a replacement. Of course you can use the third party one from Amazon.

I just bought it. Willing to give it a try. To return the favor of your post, I recommend very highly this screwdriver set. The smallest Phillips head one is to small for this application but you might still consider buying the set.

Thanks for posting.
