I have this light sensor which is the Avago APDS-9007. I need to attach 4 wires to the 4 corners of the chip. It's intended to mount to a circuit board but I can' make a circuit board. Any idea?
The numbers are 1/10th inches.

Very small wires and very small soldering iron.

If you have to ask I don't think you can. Those are delicate beyond belief. I think your question should be: How do I find a pro and I don't know the answer to that

Steady hand, small soldering tip, #30 wire, tinned, close-up lens.

The pads are a bit more than 0.1" wide. That's not all that bad.

They don't sell it in a packaged version with leads attached?

Keep a tube of burn salve nearby.

I think the chip is 0.1 inches wide, that would make the the pad 0.01 inches

Ah yes. I misread the text and took the divisions for 0.1". Time to look for professional assistance.

Regular solder won't work...it's gold plated.

The numbers are centimeters. The smaller lines represent millimeters. The actual chip is 2.4 x 2 mm. I looked it up.

No the number represent 1/10th of an inch. The scale is marked in decimal inches.
attached is the CAD drawing with dimension in mm. The width of the chip is 2.4mm which is slightly less than 1/10th of an inch.

OK. A picture of a greater length of the ruler would have been convincing. I thing you want to do something that's virtually impossible without special equipment. My trusty Radio Shack soldering iron would probably fry the thing.

A fixture to hold the Circuit board and hold the wire in contact with the pad, and very steady hands .
I have done thing like this !0 years ago, but between my vision and shaky hands today it would be impossible.
Good luck with your endeavorer.
