I have a question for a carpenter.
Pre drill the screw holes for the best result.
Use a plastic fork, as you put the screw in the plastic heats up. The screw will not back out in its own.
Thank you all for the help. I got it done for a while now. The holes are so small I can only put in 1 tooth pick. I did have to drill pilot holes to start the screws.
This method is effective for small and medium screws; remove screws and piano hinge, use compressed air to remove any loose debris in screw holes, use slivers of wood, toothpicks, or matchsticks and a little carpenter's glue as shims to partially fill the oversize holes, flush cut any protruding shim material, remount piano hinge. For the detail minded; to maintain the original hole centers, consider always using the shims in pairs on opposing sides of hole. Likewise, if any original hole spacing looks a little off, biasing the shims on that hole may correct the error.
I would caution you to avoid applying superglue to piano hinge screws, the likelyhood that the glue will cure before the screw had been fully tightened could become messy, additionally, the piano hinge can never be easily removed in the future.
Good Luck
