The memory is an odd feature of the brain. When I was a kid, there was a kids' show that had Buster Brown Shoes as a sponsor. That was over seventy years ago, and I still remember the tag line. "I'm Buster Browne. I live in a shoe. That's my dog Tige. He lives in there, too. Yet, I can't remember why I walked into a room or where I left something.

Long term vs short term. Most of us (older folks) have difficulty with short term. I can remember Roosevelt's radio broadcast in 41'. Where did I leave my car keys?

AK?

A Yiddish expression denoting an old person. Usually used derisively.

Alter (old) Kacker (Sh---er).

Different parts of the brain. Short term part tends to go first!

Hey… worth a try… but what if I forgot what room I was in when I thought about it.

I do still remember why I arrived in the bathroom… the old body lets me know

And we hope to make it in time!

Here’s something you can try when you forget what you go into another room for something…go back to the room you were in when you thought about it. Usually works for me.

I figure that if it's important enough, I'll think of it again.

Then you should also remember Froggy, who used to say “hi ya kids … hi ya, hi ya, hi ya!” And Buster Brown’s cat “midnight.”

Nope! No memory of Froggy. Did that show have an Arab as the main character? I remember watching a serial about that. He had a flying carpet, maybe?

I can see it... it's just a little before my time. JFK's funeral was the first thing I really recall on TV

Psst. It is hiding behind the lens-cap.
