Part of my weekend was spent watching a talk on Camversation.com (a great site that puts together some interesting talks and they are very cheap - they're live but you get two weeks to watch a recording if you wish). The talk was the first in four or five on ICM. This one covered woods and trees. Then I rushed off to have a go. Didn't get much worth saving but two or three might appear in composites - which raised another question, how to add a figure to an ICM background? I added a copy under the figure and Motion Blurred it in Ps, then faded the top copy as required. How do you think it worked out? Your critique will be appreciated.

Reminds me of a reoccurring bad dream I had some years ago. In that context it appears very realistic for me.
I think you have created a charismatic gentleman time traveler, I just can't figure out if he is materializing or dematerializing.
In real life he certainly is a nice fellow Gaylord. Works hard at reenactment - he’s the guy that did the ‘prisoner’ shots a while back. I think he’s arriving, rather than the reverse.
Excellent work. I don't think the keeper rate is all that high with ICM photos. Play around & pick the best being the name of the game.
I certainly agree with you - the tutor said much the same, which amused me. Once you’re given some tips on likely settings to start with there isn’t too much else to say really!
