Through The Woods - Using Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) Within a Composite

Part of my weekend was spent watching a talk on Camversation.com (a great site that puts together some interesting talks and they are very cheap - they're live but you get two weeks to watch a recording if you wish). The talk was the first in four or five on ICM. This one covered woods and trees. Then I rushed off to have a go. Didn't get much worth saving but two or three might appear in composites - which raised another question, how to add a figure to an ICM background? I added a copy under the figure and Motion Blurred it in Ps, then faded the top copy as required. How do you think it worked out? Your critique will be appreciated.

I think it turned out nice. The figure works well witht the background. Is that an AI generated figure? I hope you saved just the background because I think it could stand on its own. Very nice.

Thanks Fstop. I don’t use AI images, only my own. He’s one of the Ragged Victorian group I’ve posted previously - he has starred as a prisoner in a couple. Yes, I tend to keep everything!

An excellent result, Dave! I never gave a thought to how one would approach this, and now you've solved the issue perfectly

Linda has beaten me to it! Thanks for asking, I got used to the abbreviated term whilst watching the talk.

Can’t understand that Linda, really, never gave it a thought? You mean it wasn’t critical to your enjoyment of life - surely not! On the other hand, can’t say I had either. I quite enjoyed it. It made a change from the usual. The talks include water and architecture sessions, and animals. Nothing about figures though. I posted the image on the Camversation FB page and got a response from the lady that gave the talk but I don’t like her suggestion, too much like UCM! That was also the case with some of her techniques for foliage but they seem popular with others. She’s certainly a well-qualified photographer and some of her ICM work is very eye catching. Her name’s Charlotte Bellamy if you’re interesting in seeing her work.

Thanks for the additional information, Dave. We just never know what will pique our interests or where inspiration will originate.

Now, please, what is UCM? (a serious question )

....Going with the context, I'll guess Unintentional Camera Movement...

I think you have created a charismatic gentleman time traveler, I just can't figure out if he is materializing or dematerializing.
