I really like this. I’m with Linda on the bright sky though. I first saw the brightness before the dazzling beauty of the dancers.
I too am watching the Photoshop Summit series. So far, I’ve watched 15 of them and boy do they take time as I keep pausing and going back to watch the technique. So much to learn for me, a novice. It’s very interesting and I only have 48 hours as I didn’t pay to play. I have a couple more from today and then see what comes tomorrow.
You’re doing well watching so many Ellen! Some are aimed at pros who need Ps for commercial stuff, that doesn’t interest me, but definitely watch Aaron Nace, Colin Smith, Sebastian Michaels and Jesus Ramirez, whatever they’re teaching they include useful techniques. Pity Rikard Rodin isn’t involved - too busy with his new Academy training I guess. His videos are worth purchasing though as he really is a wizard and is generous with techniques. Thanks for your comments on my pic, all noted.

Thank you for the tips about who to watch. Yes, I noticed that much of this is over my head and professional, but I’ve picked up some useful stuff. I also like Anthony Morganti in general. And Khara Plicanic (who I hadn’t heard of) had some great stuff about text. Also Theresa Jackson (also hadn’t heard of) who had useful info about composites for me. Now I’ll have to check the names you gave to see who is still available to watch. I have so many notes; I hope I’ll be able to understand them later. At least here I can pause and re-watch the video, unlike an in-person lecture.
Dave, It is not as good as Dancing with the Stars but it is what you have imagined. I do have a problem with the nymph's left (?) arm disappearing into the other nymph. Forgive me if I have improperly described my observation.

Another advantage is, you’ll find out who you prefer as a tutor! I find this important as, for example, some folks voice might grate with me, or seem to drone on. Sebastian for example is very enthusiastic, repeats himself, talks quickly and may not be your cup of tea at all - although I find his enthusiasm infectious. If you like him, you will feel better about spending some money with him - or simply watch out for him elsewhere, like YouTube. As I mentioned earlier, the one guy you’re not getting at the summit is Rikard Rodin - do check him out, he’s very straightforward and gives you far more info than you expected when you purchased a video. He’s at Nucly.com They’re real value for money, and he regularly makes some great offers. You don’t have to join his Acadamy (I haven’t as I don’t like the never-ending monthly payments!), you can simply buy a video that interests you.
There is a lot to learn, and you’ll never know it all, but do it at your own speed and focus on what interests you - I know very little about text for example, as I just don’t make images that require it - and there’s plenty else I know little about but I’ll learn it when and if I need it. The main thing is to make a start and keep practicing. One last mention, you might like to look at the talks on Camversation.com The site is very English but available worldwide. The talks are cheap as chips and, if you pick the right ones, very informative. Hope you find your way through all this Ellen, Good Luck!

Ah, that arm bothered me when I first used the image. I think I must have got used to it! If I use the technique again (it’s just the masked shape of a subject infilled with another image) I’ll be more careful. Thanks for reminding me Gaylord, it’s appreciated.

OK, I decided to tidy up the dancers, sort that arm and, whilst at it, change the colours in the sky. We'll see if anyone is still following the thread!
I'm still following
IMO the drama is significantly improved with your sky change.

I follow everything you post, which, like this creation, is normally magnificent 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Glad you’re still here Linda, and I agree, just not sure the sky is the best colour but it will do for now.

Well, if you can’t double-post, who can? Nice to see you again, again!

That’s nice of you Joe, many thanks.

LOL, I didn't see that. If it was earlier in the thread, I'd do a clean-up
I agree with Linda about the white sky. My eye keeps trying to go there, but I love the dancers and their positioning. I also have been watching PS Summit. I'm not watching everything, I get on overload pretty quickly. I do find that there are always some nuggets of info which I'm able to take away from this type of presentation.

I think we are all agreed on the sky now - I’ve shown a change now if you d see crook through - but I think the colour may be a bit strong.
Sounds like you have the same approach to Summit as me - can’t watch everything but always gain something!
