If you've been around UHH for a while this may feel familiar as I created this pair in a different setting some time ago and posted here. So this composite of my own images was really quite simple to make as the couple could be 'flattened' in the original composite, prior to being lifted onto the single-image background. With the addition of adjustment layers as required, the whole thing now comes to just nine layers. It was done last year and rediscovered whilst rationalising my saved files on external discs. I don't think I've posted it previously but if I have, I apologise! Your critique is welcomed if you have the time.

The dancers' legs and arms stretched in all directions results in a very dynamic feel.

Dave, are your dancers celebrating the dawn of a new day? The upper white sky distracts from the beauty of the dark tones IMO. Cropping not only removes that "issue" but makes the scene more intimate.

I look forward to each creation you share with us; your artistry is inspiring!

I find it beautiful and thought-provoking.

I thought of it more as an ‘evening setting-in’ scene Linda, but I take your point about the white. It would be better gone. Not sure I’m keen enough to set about it right now though - I’m in a ‘start loads, finish nothing’ period! And I’m also trying to keep up with a few of the Ps Summit vids. So time-consuming!

I can identify with the "start but don't finish" mode...all too well.

MinnieV said she signed up for the summit series, paying for the ability to watch at her "leisure." Is that what you are doing, or viewing live?

I don’t pay! It’s always extremely unlikely that I’d find every session of interest. I get 48 hours to watch each days videos, so if the first one started UK at 0800 on Monday, I get until 0800 on Wednesday to watch it. Of course each day actually starts about 1100 hours UK. Each is about an hour. On Monday there were four of interest, on Tuesday none. Wednesday another four. Of course if you pay you get them forever - and they are great value but they do vary from outright beginner to expert, so it’s unlikely you’d want to see them all. All my favourite tutors are there this year.

Maybe just a touch of the burn brush would make a difference?

Not sure about that Jack, white can be tricky to tame. I think a colour selection and replace or overlay may work.
By the way, your change of avatar has not gone unnoticed. You are now officially an AI creation - I did warn you, playing with fire always ends in getting burned!

I really like this. I’m with Linda on the bright sky though. I first saw the brightness before the dazzling beauty of the dancers.
I too am watching the Photoshop Summit series. So far, I’ve watched 15 of them and boy do they take time as I keep pausing and going back to watch the technique. So much to learn for me, a novice. It’s very interesting and I only have 48 hours as I didn’t pay to play. I have a couple more from today and then see what comes tomorrow.
