This is another older composite that has been posted previously. I've been messing around with it and came up with this version which I rather like - and I think has some slight 3D qualities, possibly due to the colours. I wonder what SoHillGuy might make of it - or whether the colour would defeat the conversion. I'll ask him to take a look if he has time. Meanwhile, if you have any thoughts on it generally they would be very welcome. The figures are statues from a private collection that opens once a year and admits by invitation only.

Quite spectacular, Dave. I'm gobsmacked!!

An unexpected treatment in which every element seems perfectly placed. So many details to admire: the black space on the wall behind the two figures on the right compared to the busy left side with its marvelous contrast of forms, the reflections on the floor. This is one of my top five all-time favorites, I think.

I really like the overall effect; but the reflection are really special.

No, no, no, that’s not a wall, it’s the sky! The clue was the red orb with cloud across it!! But I suppose a wall could be one interpretation🥴. The reflections used a displacement map - and might have been the first time I tried the technique. It usually works quite well. Very pleased to have the image elevated to such an honoured place Linda, thank you very much.

Glad you like it Erich. As I mentioned to Linda, the reflection used a displacement map - really the only way I’ve found to get something realistic, better than a simple Ps filter.

I removed each major element by covering my view with my hand and found that all are needed... they support one another. For example the "push up" being on the left arches up and the curvature is completed by the moon-like partial sphere. The sparkling dust is needed to support that grouped element.

The heads form a line element and are part of a triangulation. The three groupings dance together.

The whole of the visual sculpture is needed to interact ... even the reflection. I call it a visual sculpture because the word photo does not fit what you are showing us.

Time to use your 3D large printer on a 4-foot x 5-foot canvas. Guggenheim Museum quality...

Thanks for your thoughts on it Don. Our mutual friend SoHillGuy has demonstrated for me that starting with a red picture is not really the way to go for a good 3D image (and I guess cyan too). However some mild 3D affect is possible with the image. I will get it printed for my study I think - the boss likes it but not enough for the living room wall apparently.🙄

Thanks Don. I don’t usually use that sort of thing but I’ve downloaded the offer. Not sure what I need to do to install it though, that might be beyond my limited abilities.

I Love it!! The red colouring (how’s that for an American?) is spectacular and just pops. The overall image just smacks of “look at me”. Don’s reflections on the image say it all. Thank you, dpullum.
What is a displacement map?
