Well, Dennis. Sorry to say, you will never read this, you will be dead from eating unidentified plant material before I finish typing this. It's been nice knowing you, Buddy!!!

Thanks for the concern Chief. But here I am STILL answering your always fine posts. Maybe a small difference but I ATE nothing. I somewhat tasted something I was somewhat sure was non poisonous due to my long experience in the woods. Simply putting teeth into something carefully and then tasting what was not ripe doesn't count in my experience as eating something.

Yessir Chief, I know you were worried and that very thought of doing damage to my body was on my mind as I sank a tiny tooth and then ran my tongue over what could have been the forbidden fruit spoken of in the Bible. Then I realized it was not even close to an apple so did what brave Marines have been doing for years with the help of the Navy for transportation, thank you very much for the older USS Boxer, LPH-4, went ahead and accepted the challenge. Now I KNOW it was not harmful and was a rosehip.

Oh wait.....does the Navy even have ships on the Snake River in Idaho?

Glad to be of service to humanity. Gosh my tummy is starting to hurt.

Nope, no ships on the Snake River. But there is a submarine test platform on Lake Pend Oreille. Believe it or not!
A shot of brandy and a good night's sleep will fix that tummy ache!

Good to know. I have been to Pend Oreille. Beautiful place. Since rose hips are supposed to be good for us/me I went back to the river to gather up a couple of handfuls to snack on.
