Having seen terryMc's UHH post on September 4 of a beautiful Kaiser Darrin, I remembered having seen and photographed one of these cars in a city park in central Wisconsin last summer. It was a beautiful setting with a lagoon on one side of the road, and the lovely Wisconsin River on the other side. I asked the owner if he minded me taking a few shots of the car and he said, "Help yourself. Take all the images you'd like!" What an invitation for a car nut with a little travel camera (Lumix ZS200) in hand! Enjoy. And thanks again to terryMc for the reminder my 80+ year old brain needed!

I had never heard of such a car, much less seen one. Thank you for sharing.

So...the doors slide forward into the fenders to open?? Is that what I see?
It's a beautiful car!

The sliding door is something else! Apparently, you could only open the door from the outside by reaching out the window from the inside. CHEERS!

I was looking at the shot of the front end and marvelling over the idea that the motor gets enough air to stay cool. It must pull some from underneath.

Will do.

Beautiful car. Beautiful Photos. My first time to see one also.
The doors sliding into the fender makes this car even more unique

Thanks for commenting. It's an amazing looking car. I was so lucky to drive over "to the park" that day! CHEERS!

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of the motor, would you?

Thanks for the compliment. I couldn't believe my good fortune that day. We were on vacation in Wisconsin, and the park is in the town in central Wisconsin where I taught music for 33 years (UW-Stevens Point). Just happened to drive over there on our vacation last summer! CHEERS!

I probably should have asked him if he would raise the hood. I had already interrupted his picnic lunch with his wife to ask about taking some pictures. (Picture #3). But looking back, I wish that I had asked to see the engine compartment. CHEERS!

No worries, I was just wondering what was under the hood. Thanks.
