Pls critique..thanks
Okay, color is good on the last and first one. thumbs up to you on that. But......
Ya know several very good people once told me to tried and get away from the " bullseye" affect. Which is what I'm seeing here. The first and last picture are just to center. They are sharp, the colors good, but the composition is off. I hate to say it, but look up the "rules of thirds".
The middle picture looks good center, but the sky is blowned out. You could corrected that with a good P/P software though. Do you have one? It will be tricky trying to go in and out of the trees, but if you really like the picture then go for it. Besides it excellent learning experience.
I'm not trying to be mean, just trying to give you what I see is not right with the pictures, so please don't take it wrong. Above all, I would like to mention that these are just my opinions on your pictures.

Love the second one, repeating patterns, leading lines, nice and sharp; the gate makes me wonder why is it there, who are they trying to keep out. The highlights in the sky are just a touch too bright, but the rest of the photo makes up for that.
Great subject in #1 and I know it was an 'instant' picture (Gotta shoot right now!), but it is overexposed bottom left and slightly out of focus.
The rose is OK but the blur surrounding it looks photoshopped.
I hope that wasn't too harsh...

Love the first photo, what a great idea. next time try to get the whole poof of the spore going up into the air . Very cool though. I like the second one too and I like it centered. Try warming it up a bit and see if the sky warms too. Great subject and beautiful trees.
Ok I get the path/driveway and the rose corsage but what is the first photo? I can't quite figure it out. :?: :?:
Coodo's on the color crispness but I tend to agree with the others on the placement of the focal point of the subjects.
Keep posting, you are doing good.

nope your right!
Julie, when you respond to a post you need to go to "quote reply" That way the person's comments will come in on top of your reply.
Don't fret, though, this is a very common thing with new people, we've almost all done it. :D
If it's my comments you are talking about in the sky, well skies are not usually white. When they come out that way in a pictures it usally means that you had your camera settings to high and too much light got in. If you had a polorize filter it would have corrected the problem. If you camera can take a filter. (don't know what kind of camera you have.) So this point could be mute.
Let us know what kind of camera and lens you have, we will be better able to help you.
As far as the "rules of thirds" go you will here that again and again on the forum. Some people can give you a direct link to it. I just don't have it.
Basically most pictures are more interesting if taken and edited in the 1/3 rule. Please do look it up, you may find it helpful.
Again, please don't take critique to harshly. It is ment to help you, not make you feel bad about your photo's.
