As in Benjamin ... A composite, tugboat taken in Wisconsin while the body of the person display was in New Orleans. However, the head of Mr. Button is NOT my image. In most cases I'd rather use my own images for composites I put together. This is one of few I made an exception. If you have seen the movie Benjamin Button then you should be able to relate to this composite more clearly. Opinions would be greatly appreciate. Did I miss the mark?
He looks like a very ancient Popeye.
Dave, it's great seeing a post from you and your inimitable style. Though, as you pointed out, not your usual use of your own photographs, it does work in this case.

The first time I saw this Popeye bust, I almost - ALMOST - wet my pants πππππ He looks great in this cool shot, further chronicling his life and times π§π§π§π§π§
I had to look at this one for awhile. Overall really nice job. I canβt tell the head didnβt come with the body. There is a bit of an artifact on the viewers left side. That may be needed to clean up. And his head seems a tad too bright for the rest of his body. But that are just really minor points as far as Iβm concerned.
I like the concept but if he falls in the water he will need a bigger ladder to get out.
Really well done composite. Wish I had those skills
Good to see you posting here Dave.
It works well I think - although Iβve no idea who BB is. I do know Popeye though!!
You may remember I too only use my own images - exceptions have been extremely rare and certainly not recent but Iβve recently been asked on several occasions to use other folks shots. Pleased to say Iβm holding out so far! That said, I can see why it was necessary in this instance. Thereβs always going to be something you canβt photograph yourself.
Popeye grown old... we see the effects of years of tobacco smoking... His face is eye/mind grabbing and easy to become fixated on the one open eye...
In contrast to the three monkeys, his one big ear hears all evil, his one big eye sees all evil, but, will he remove his pipe and speak of the all evil?

I have to agree, he does appear to be ancient and a Popeye character. I chose Benjamin Button for this composite only. If I remember correctly he is originally Popeye. Thanks for commenting !!!

Thanks Frank, yea I knew about the artifact on the right viewers side but I'm not aware of anything on the left. It's just me being lazy ... again still !!!

A bigger ladder would be a good thing !!! Details can be easily missed, thanks for pointing that out.
