All the local farmers thought he should have traded in one or both of the JDs years before he retired. Farmers love new machinery, you know. But....when I left in 1965 for school, the A and a diesel D and a lonely IH model M was all going strong. The A had been overhauled in the early/mid 60s. Other than that, all were drive train as builts. Thanks for the memory.

The unstylized one I drove as a kid had rubber tires but I don't know if it came from the factory that way. I'm certain that my dad bought it used. It was his very first tractor as a farmer. He later purchased a stylized G also but he didn't let us kids drive it until we were a little older.
