actually, that pick was a hoax, as far as being from Hurricane Sandy.

the pic was taken in September if I recall correctly

That picture is not a fake! the date may be wrong, but the conditions are real.that they are standing guard in.

Doubt that the tomb of the unknown soldier was left unguarded in any case whether this was an actual picture of the event! I stood guard in Korea in much worse weather on numerous occasions on much less honorable sites. your comments don't detract from honor these men felt. IMHO!

Very nice post.Being part of the honor guard is truly one of the militaries top honors.They are very dedicated and disciplined.If you have never witnessed the changing of the guards you are missing one of lifes true honors.I witnessed this two years ago it was amazing!!

Day in, Day out, 24/7 365 these soldiers SOLDIER ON.
This job is among the very highest honors a soldier can enjoy. Grueling preperation, and the tradition of no drinking, the highest of moral codes to wear the wreath these soldiers wear.

As stated above, to view the changing of the giuard is a spectacular , a privelege an honor and brings pride to anyone that sees it.

God Bless our soldiers dedication, the support they have from their loved ones.
