Hi Garth, this is the web address for the elephant sanctuary, plettenbergbay.elephantsanctuary.co.za it is possible you have visited there. Have you been to Tenikwa wildlife sanctuary just a little way out of Plett? It is a great place my avatar was taken there when I walked with a keeper and two cheetahs. I also booked a guide to take me on a photo tour of the animals. They do not do the early morning walks anymore. It is a great place well worth a visit, although looking at their website it appears to be more commercial than when I visited.

Thank you so much for the link to the Plettenberg Elephant Sanctuary website. No, we have not visited this site but most certainly will next October. Shiela and I are patrons of the Knysna Elephant Park and specifically of the African Elephant Reseach Unit (AERU) which has its laboratory on the KEP site. As a consequence, we spend a minimum of a week at KEP each time we visit South Africa. Have even considered aquiring a permanent residence in Plettenberg Bay and spending up to six months there and the other six months here in Surrey, BC, Canada. In that way we could enjoy twelve months of summer! Probably, most likely will not happen, but it is nice to dream. Enjoy the remainder of your vacation! Regards, Garth
