sounds like me Dick. I've had so many cars over the years I can't remember the years they were, and in what order I had them. My first was a '50 Olds 88, I remember that!

Well my first was a Model A 1/4 ton PU with a factory 4 speed. I heard in later years that that 4 speed in a PU was extremely rare and worth a bunch of money! To bad I don't have it now! I'm 84 and have had a ton of vehicles in my day!!

Seen and photographed at a local cruise night this red '63 Ford Galaxie 500XL was stunning! And, what could be better than a 390 4 speed? (square cropped maybe for a future 6x6 tile)

Nice photo and the only better combination would be a 427 side Oiler with a Top Loader 4spd.

Pretty sure the 427 was a Chevy thing. Ford's biggie was the 429 during that time frame.

The FE engine block was offered in 332, 352,360,361,390,391,406,410,427,428, and any other combination you could dream up. They made 427 medium riser, high riser, SOHC, tunnel port combos.

thanks Alberio, true, that would be nice, but to have a nice livable daily cruiser the 390 might be a little easier to live with, but I'd gladly love to own either combination ! :))

Ford also had a 427 during that time frame, remember the Shelby Cobra 427?
