Every time I hear about a music great passing on I think about one of my favorite songs "Rock and Roll Heaven" by the Richteous Brothers. Some day we may all get to see them all again in what must be one hell of a concert!

Some of our great performers have done some nasty things, and they might not make it to heaven, God forbid. Shot, I might not make it.

We are indeed lucky to have enjoyed these wonderful artists, (I know I sound like an old guy and i am one) but who is going to replace those that are gone, I don't see many that are of that caliber. Rap Crap, makes me sick to my stomach, it just isn't music.

good old George....never have I seen hair like George's! Glen Campbell maybe came close! And he, along with George, were both great losses to the music industry!

To answer George, no one has yet, and probably never will.

It’s a sad day when we lose any of the old performers. The 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s music was the best.

True, but Hank and others in the late 40's were also up there.

so true, it (those decades) produced some really great music, and of course the musicians who did so. Who will fill that void from today's mix??....remains a good question. Will there ever be another Bob Dylan, or Willie Nelson?

Doesn’t look like it will be long for Willie. Saw him the other night on the Dolly Parton Christmas Special. He looked horrible.

It really does hit home when we lose one of those souls whose songs and lyrics helped us along the way. But I don’t spend any time thinking about who will be next.

Same here. Apparently, he is just as good a person as he is a musician. I recall when I lived in Bloomington, IN back about 40 years ago there was a lake resort a few miles south of the city. Someone I worked with was at the resort and in the bar when Willie came in. He sat around, had a few beers, and talked with the crowd. He then pulled out his guitar and sang for them for about 45 minutes! A free mini-concert.

Don't forget Dusty Hill and Rick Wright.

Many of us grew up and enjoyed the music of the '60's, 70's, and 80's. Unfortunately, like the rest of us, many of those artists are reaching senior citizenship status. Yesterday, we lost a great singer, Christine McVie from the equally great group, Fleetwood Mac. A few short weeks ago we lost a few other greats from that period, Olivia Newton John and Jerry Lee Lewis. And some time back we lost Glenn Frey of the Eagles. As these folks grow old with us, the question is who will be next? Jagger, Bonnie Rait, Jackson Browne, Seger, James Taylor, Baez, Dylan.....??
Many of us grew up and enjoyed the music of the '6... (show quote)
