Same thing. Just do it earlier when it's light out. There is nothing said you must follow certain time.

Ernie Banks would love it: "Let's play three!!"

Well, since this thread has been rekindled I will contribute a dumb time-related question. And before I am criticized for that statement, read on.
I am going on a 3-year-long around-the-world cruise later this year. During one of the cruise webinars someone asked what time zone the ship would be on. DUH!!!

Three years, huh? I guess the slow boat to China doesn't stop there!! It keeps going....slowly.
Seriously, enjoy your time floating from time zone to time zone!! Your auto correcting watch will go nuts!!
If you don't check back in in three years we'll send out a search party. It took Ethan Edwards seven years to find little Debbie and he was only searching the southwest. Might take us a bit longer.

The trip is once around the globe but crossing the equator 6 times because we will follow the summer sun. Also, stops are 2-4 days in each port, so time to explore more than the tourist stands on the dock.

Sounds great. I hope you have a great state room. Wife with you? Not having to cook should be great as well. Several years ago I read about a ship where owners could buy a state room for five million dollars and connect with the ship whenever they wanted.

Yes, wife along. This is basically a cabin rental for 3 years. I can come and go as I please, sublet, sell it, or give it away during that time. The ship is only 600 cabins and they expect about 50% occupancy. I should know everyone on board by the end.

Food and maid service extra or included? It sounds like a great adventure.
You'll def. have to post photos from your trip. What's the name of the ship?

Permanent DST in the US was briefly enacted by president Richard Nixon in January 1974, in response to the 1973 oil crisis. The new permanent DST law was retracted within the year. Year-round daylight saving time was initially supported by 79% of the public, but that support had dropped to 42% after its first winter. Kids were going to school in the dark that turned out to be dangerous.

That is the tail wagging the dog.
Just to be clear here... the primary reason it was stopped was because schools that are open 180 days a year dictate this entire issue? Meanwhile the rest of the country has to drive home in the dark, ( It's dark where I live at 4:00 in the winter) I drive to and from work in the dark, having spent the entire day in most cases, inside while the sun shines?
I love daylight savings time, I prefer t it to be year round. Call it metal health therapy time, for those who get caught up in the name of something rather than the effect.
Have schools open an hour later the 180 days they are open ( 90 really when affected by light in the morning) . and in fact, only schools in the northern states. Duh....

WOW, I was just posting a statement of fact. That it was tried before, it failed. But because RichieC likes DST we'll do it year round. Why don't you go to work an hour earlier it would have the same effect?

Food, maid service and even personal laundry, tips and gratuities, and beer/wine at dinner are included.
Google MV Lara. Your cabin awaits you.

I did find it. For as many rooms as there are, do you have a nice lounge area and library?
