The deer, was that from Wyoming? In the Midwest, deer and a bunch of other game was nearly cleaned out in the mid-30s. The combination of depression, no money, hunting pressure, drought and no sense of conservation nearly wiped out wild game. An old guy told me that in 1956 he saw a wild deer, which was so rare that he drove to town to tell about it.

Now deer are like vermin. Last winter I counted 13 dead deer killed in traffic in the 8 miles I drive to work. Another fellow I know had an 18 acre creek bottom corn field surrounded by trees. The deer stripped the outer 12 acres clean. Between cash rent and planting costs, that cost him $6,600. Needless to say, he didn’t rent that farm again.

It’s interesting that deer are so thick now that they roam the nearby 13,000 population town. City people initially find deer in their yard really pretty and cute until they are destroying gardens and shrubs. The department of conservation has had massive deer hunts to reduce the populations and has even let people bow hunt in town to clean them out. Too much of a good thing.

I don't understand why it's a week early. I didn't know there were any time restrictions on posting images nor, more importantly, why anyone would ask them to be removed and postponed. Obviously there is something I and others are unaware of.
