With a full-size camera and a telephoto lens, the weight is a bit much for comfort and confidence—the camera and lens can bounce around…secure, but uncomfortable.

I use mine with a full-frame Sony A7III (650g) and a Sony 24-105mm lens (663g) and find it quite comfortable to walk with it. I would agree that I probably would not use if with a much larger lens, with the exception of changing lenses.

I just recently ordered one.

This looks interesting. I'd be curious of your thoughts after you receive it. I assume you have not got it yet?

I am interested in comments from those who have experience with the Peak Design Capture Clip? Good? Bad? Other thoughts?

Yes, you can carry a camera and lens - it does NOT look comfortable especially with larger/heavier lens and there is NO protection for the camera/lens.

I have and use the version 2 and as mentioned above, use it regularly with my FF Sony and 24-105 or similar size lens. I did order the longer screws as most of my shoulder straps are fairly thick.

Are you saying that clipping an 8x10 view camera to it is out of the question? ;)

Myself, I do a lot of hiking with my M43 and 14-45 lens. Im interested in using the clip to hold that rather than carrying it on a strap.

I am saying anything bigger than a FF camera and 24-105 would be dubious. I like padded holsters for smaller camera/lenses and padded lens cases for larger lenses strapped over the shoulder or belt mounted or BOTH.
