I shoot older Canon DSLRs and love them to death. 5DMkiii and a 70D. I just bought what's quickly become, one of my favorite lenses, the 24-105 F4 L USM. My copy seems to be tack sharp and it really shines on my MkIII. No doubt that the camera truly benefits from quality glass.
I also have the Tamron 45mm 2.8 Di VC and it's also really good quality in my opinion. Seems to be very sharp.
Tamron 28-300 is my usual walk around lens. In good light, it's great.
And I love my 50 1.8. It's not as sharp as the 1.4 , but it does pretty good.
I love my two Sigma ART series lenses in 24 and 50mm. Heavy and built like tanks but they deliver results.
I use them on a D850

From what I've seen and read, the ART series are pretty amazing. I plan to rent one to check it out. I've always liked Sigma. I've got a Sony mount 19mm that I really like.
At the moment my 2 favorites are the Milvus 85mm 1.4 and the 500mm PF.
My 120-300mm f2.8 Sigma and my 300-800mm f5.6. Sigma Along with my 105mm f2.8 micro Nikon
Nikon 500mm f5.6 PF on a D500 (for wildlife).

100-400mm MII, sharp with no perceptible loss of sharpness with teleconverters. Near macro focusing at 400mm, very fast AF.
In other words it is an extremely versatile lens.

I wish I could do a Milvus. I have the first Sony bridge camera with the Zeiss lens and It just might be my fav. lens of all... Microcontrast of the Zeiss is astounding. NOTHING lie the look of Zeiss.

The Zeiss Batis 40mm f/2 is my favorite lens. Very sharp, great colors, excellent microcontrast, fast AF, great close foucs ability. I think that 40mm is a great focal length.
I like the other Zeiss Batis lenses as well. My favorite zoom is the Sony 100-400mm GM.

I've got a number of lenses, but the one I have used most lately is a Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 di vc usd. A good walking-around lens and for family gatherings.

I have a dozen lenses but my Tamron 17-50 2.8 goes with me with all of my cameras. I also use the Nikkor 28-105 3.5-4.5. Another good one.
Thanks! I'm always looking for good lens suggestions. Just happened to watch a comparison of the Sigma 28-70 compared to the Canon 24-105 L and the Sigma beat it handily. I'll keep an eye out. Anything Zeiss is wayyyy out of my price range lol

If we talk about dSLR lenses a favorite is the Nikon 28-105 f3.5-4.5 AF-D. Very versatile and sharp. I also use Olympus cameras and the 12-40 f2.8 is a great optic and my most used lens.
Another very good lens is the Nikon 24-85 f3.5-4.5 AF-S, VR.
Love my Nikon 500 pf but use the Nikon 200-500 more
