The IH models were all reliable and good tractors. I still have a 1953 Ford NAA Jubilee with a front loader and live hydraulics. No power steering so it's a beast to turn, especially with a load in the bucket. The 560 diesel was refurbished and is now only used for parades.

I too grew up on a Wisconsin farm, but we were all ‘green’ two cylinders though surrounded by red and orange. As a kid I looked forward to driving my uncle’s 8N because I could imagine being on a motorcycle because it sat so different from the JD ‘A’.

Nice. I took auto mechanics in HS. Our instructor was once the shop foreman at the IH tractor dealership and we spent many days working on tractors. Breaking them in half and overhauling engines and gear boxes. I spent a lot of time trying to forget tractors but I still like the older ones
