Just wondering as it could go either way

Regardless, I wouldn't trust those hind tires to last much longer!

Nice shot of the ol' guy/gal!!

That's Chalmers, not Chambers. I could be wrong but it does look like an old IH Farmall C tractor from the early 1940's.

Certainly looks like the IH Model C, without some cowling and a radiator shroud. Chalmers used different wheels I thought. Would love to have and ride a C.

Definitely an Allis Chalmers. The big clue is the off center steering wheel and shaft. International did not do that in this era.

Sorry to correct.....
International C

That's for sure. Actually it's not always there so it must still be in use bwana

I think it started it’s life as an international model C. This one has similar patina but not as much ‘character’ as the one you pictured.

Look at the wheel weights. Every farm tractor I've seen at old tractor shows that had those weights were IH Farmall tractors from the 1940's. My wife's uncle used to restore and show old farm tractors, and he had a few AC's and IH's in his collection, and his early 40's IH Farmall had the same weights.

This looks like a hybrid tractor to me. The wheels scream International, but I never knew International to use an off centerline steering wheel and steering shaft. That was an AC thing. Probably is an international after all.

The model C and the Cub had offset steering.

Believe this is an International Harvester (IH) Model H. The C has smaller rear tires and has a lower and narrower front hood. The B is a unique style with an offset driver's seat. Much smaller rear tires. Growing up on the Wisconsin farm we had 2 B's, a C, an H, and an M. Also a 560 Row crop Diesel.

The H did not have offset steering. The C did.

I stand corrected. You are right, I searched for a picture of the IH Model H and it has the steering shaft high in the center of the hood. Good catch. The IH models were all reliable and good tractors. I still have a 1953 Ford NAA Jubilee with a front loader and live hydraulics. No power steering so it's a beast to turn, especially with a load in the bucket. The 560 diesel was refurbished and is now only used for parades.
