amazing,nice catch. I had a family of the living in the walls of an old 1803 farmhouse I lived in. I've never seen then anywhere but living in holes in my fields.

Lol You must have discovered a new species, i've always seen them scurrying along the ground, that's why they call them ground hogs!

Those are some interesting shots.

Wonder if that is a mixed breed with something else.
It has a somewhat different look than ground hogs I've been around that can cause a lot of problems with the holes they burrow out in hay fields. They don't look like they would be able to climb on a branch like that one in your good pics.

Lol thanks Ched49. Don't normally shoot them but who could pass this up. At first my son and I thought it might be a porcupine

Thanks Ron. We have them all over. I've never seen one up a tree. My son Google it and sure enough they can climb trees
