Posted a while ago looking for a good photo printer. Like to do 11x14 maybe 13 wide also BUT my wall hangers I usually send out.
Love to get excellent 11x14 at home.
Looking at Canon pixma pro 200. They are back ordered or out of stock. Anyone have this printer that can give a review? Saw it for $600 which I can do. The cost of ink is high but I can deal with it.
Any other suggestions for good quality photo printer, and I prefer Canon, might be open to others but love Canon customer service.

I've been using a ip8720 model, prints up to 13" wide and have been getting good results with it so far after about 2
years of use. Great for B&W prints also. Good value and cannot see a difference between OEM and generic inks.

For my pixma mg5220 I've used after market ink from ink farm for years, no issue. Wondering if you get same # of prints with orginal or aftermarket ink

I have not done a lot of prints, but I suspect that there would be little difference as I use the XL capacity cartridges from EZink at the present time.

I suggest you check out JToolman youtube channel and his fb page. He is the printing guru and you can learn more than you ever want to know about best printing practices, color management, ICC paper profiling and options to mitigate ink cost.

Thanks I'll do that as long as the pro 200 out of stock

The 200 uses dye ink like the discontinued 100 that I have. The prints are great. But, the 300 uses pigment ink that lasts much longer. You might find it useful for your "wall hangers". The 300 is not currently backordered.

If (or when!) my 100 breaks, I will probably try hard to screw up the courage to get a 300 with the better ink system.

Price of 300 is $899.00
Don't know if I have wall space for all that cash. lol
I like them mounted on double thickness mount board which I can't do.
The 200 was $599.00. Canon has no clue to when there are coming in stock. Supply line issues.

My Pro 100 Canon crapped out on me and customer service was useless. None of the fixes they suggested worked. It looked like the power supply was out so I bought a refurbished one from a Chinese company. No dice. So now I have a very expensive boat anchor sitting on the floor in my garage and will have to shell out for a new printer if I want to print my own photos. The next one won't be a Canon. Very disappointing because the Pro 100 was a great printer until it just up and quit with no warning one day. Sad thing is I had only made, maybe, 100 prints with it.

Amazon has it considerably more than 600, more like a GRAND
