Hello Hoggers,

I'm wondering how many change the camera time setting to Daylight Savings vs just leaving it in standard time?

I use the DST flag on all of my cameras that have one. It is also a good opportunity to check the time display and fine-tune the setting. My manuals all say that the clocks in the camera are not designed nor intended to be perfectly accurate on a long-term basis. I find that most of them are off by two or three minutes at each time change. It's quick and easy to correct when changing the flag.

Dang it! I over slept again! This has to be an April Fools joke. Both parties agreeing on something unanimously that doesn't involve a pay raise? You are going to have to reset your clock to get up earlier if you want to fool me!

Ah yes! I only have 1 digital camera I used often. I have about 40 film cameras but none has the date and time.

Reason I asked is that resetting clocks on all my cameras would be quite chore. If it's just one camera, no sweat !

Do not care.
Never look at it.

I don't care about the camera clock because if I do I would have to set it much more often. It seems although the clock in cameras are quartz based they are much less accurate compared to a cheap quart watch.

Keep you eye on Congress. Senate just passed this week, unanimously, to stay year round on one of them. DST … I think. Nevertheless, watch Congress, then as Biden signs it, whichever one it is that will become permanent for all of us.

Might be the one thing that they ever get right.

Not necessarily. I have heard there’s a big push in the House to stay on standard time year-round, which makes more sense to me.

Just yesterday in Indianapolis three school children in various parts of the city were hit by cars (two died) while they were waiting at bus stops in the dark. Just a few days ago it would have been daylight and the accidents probably would have been avoided.

Early is "on time", on time is "late", and late is unacceptable.

Alabama has passed a bill to stay on DST for the second time. It's now passed the US Senate to allow it. Hopefully the House will follow suit.
