I checked out your Chicago winter work on Flicker...Great job. I enjoyed the tour.
Definitely depicts winter!
B-r-r-r-r, snow makes for a great subject and you captured it well Paul. Kudos.
Nice work work on all of these, Paul. The first is my favorite.
So far, down here in central Indiana, we had about a half inch in November and a dusting a couple days ago.

We all should be happy to not be caught overnight on the highways in the DC area in their foot+ of snow.
Thank you Mike, globetrekker, junglejim1949, Peter, Gary, Ray, Tdearing, John! Last winter I learned about the ice breaker that runs through the Chicago River downtown to break up the ice. Now that would be an 'architecture tour' through the city. Glad you all enjoyed.
Great shots Paul. Brings back memories for me when I use to work on Michigan Ave .
Thanks!

We got our first snow of late 2021 on December 28, a new local record. We came a few days shy of another record with a 290-day 'no snow' record, going back to March 21, 2021. I was out yesterday morning with a film camera for the few inches we got on Jan 1, 2022. Here's a belated Happy New Year! (from last year

These B&W film snow shots are from early 2021, images that didn't have a context for posting after the film was finally developed / scanned in Spring '21.

Nice shots of an interesting city, but they confirm why I won't visit Chicago in the winter. Thanks for sharing.
Paul, I never used T-MAX 400, my favorite was the 100 version. I have mentioned that before but I will do it once again, it was a nightmare finding a developer that worked for me when using T-MAX 100. It became so frustrating that I was ready to quit.
Then I read an article about a gentleman who was using Agfa Rodinal. I looked at his images and they had eactly the tonalities I was looking for. Perhaps I have been shooting for too long Tri-X with Kodak HC-110 Solution B. That combination to me was magic.
After testing the film with the new developer I was a happy camper again. I did not abandon using Tri-X but when I wanted fine grain T-MAX was my favorite film. It was hard for me to make a decision when shooting landscapes. Both films offered excellent results.
Your images look fine to me.

Awesome photos, Paul. I enjoy all of your photos, especially the ones of air shows. I wish we had a little more snow here in NM, but I’ll leave the bitter cold to you hardy folks in Chicago.

Thank you William! I don't process my own film, so your developer issues are lost on me.
I bought some bulk expired film in 2019 that came with a lot of Tri-X, a film I hadn't used much before. I did some TMAX rolls as a basis of comparison in last year's shooting.
Thank you
Paul, alberio, William, Susan, Earnest, cwp3420! I have some more film shots from last winter, stay tuned.
