Thank you topcat, DickC! We had record snow last year in late(r) winter just after I'd received a bunch of B&W film I was eager to try. Only 1 snow of substance so far this winter and only one roll used. Glad you enjoyed.

I've had B&W film in my Den fridge for up to 20 years old; loaded some 6x7 in my Pentax 67, took sme photos around the yard, developed them and they were as clear as ever!

B&W doesn't seem to age. As discussed earlier, I think in this thread, just add a bit of positive exposure compensation, but nothing like is needed for old color film.

I've tried lots of old film and developed them in my own darkroom, I believe your observation is correct, just some comp and those old films will work just fine! My LunaPro is set for +1 or more.

I'm walking down to the Post Office today to send off 10+ rolls of film going back to March of this year. Hopefully, lots of good results and some basis for discussions of various film stocks and exposure technique.

I can only say this about old film: Don't do anything, say like a wedding with old film!

I mix it up, fresh and old, more about what and how I want to shoot something vs the risk of old film misbehaving.

I only mention as from experience, some will develop nicely and some will be foggy, some okay...color slides do okay but here again I don't do my important stuff with old film.

I've only have one "bad" roll so far, so my experience -- now over 20+ rolls of various types -- is different.
