I agree that "the complexity of weapons" on a movie set may compromise the practice of gun safety rules thereon.

But then what else besides these rules can apply to safeguard the movie set environment? In the extreme, we cannot say that entertainers have no responsibility to follow the rules of gun safety.

I maintain that the possibility exists for the strict practice of gun safety rules even on movie sets.

Yes you and I think of gun safety as a non barginable affair. I still have to wonder with the complexity of weapons I have seen used in movies if it is reasonable to expect an amateur to understand the safety procedures for most every weapon that is used in the movies. I just can't make myself believe that AB or almost any actor has the training to clear an 50cal or several other weapons I have seen used. Oh well. I will learn something here as to the proper procedure on a movie set. I honestly doubt I will be surprised. Happy holidays to you and yours.

I agree fully with safety protocol on the set. I just believe the actor is most likely not the key individual in making sure the weapon is safe. My personal opinion which means nothing is it was either a grudge or a set up that got the woman killed. By who I have no idea. If course that is just a conspiracy theory. Lol

From what I understand of gun safety protocol, each person who receives a gun in his hands must check the status of the gun, whether loaded or unloaded.

Just as a discussion point, I suppose all who handle a gun on a movie set could undergo and pass training in gun safety protocol.

It must be nice to be so simple minded. Everything can be boiled down to only one cause or only one person. Too bad solutions to problems are never as simple.
