There's demand for a product, but no one seems to be making it.

I should have bought more when they were generally available and reasonably-priced. If you see them now, the prices are ridiculous.
Yep Xume filter holder are no longer manufactured. There are substitutes however they also require you to purchase the filter.

Kase, Ice, Haida and Freewell are all making round magnetic filters and filter holders in various types and sizes.
IRIX and H&Y are making square ones (pricey and mainly for cine lenses).
I have no idea if any of these are interchangeable with your Xume or with each other.
Maybe "Xume" sounded too much like "Zune"
(Remember Microsoft's attempt to enter the MP3 player marketplace?)
We bought some Xume filters. Worst thing we did for a long time. I did all the checking I could to make sure they would be compatible. When they arrived within about 5 minutes found that we had lost the bottom zoom range of one of our lens. This supposedly was not meant to happen. I suspect if a 'good' item suddenly disappears it is because they found unexpected issues so it is cheaper to 'disappear' rather than face lawsuits. Back to screw on filters.

Please explain what you mean by "we had lost the bottom zoom range of one of our lens"?

Because of the depth of the filter and holder the corners were cut off from 28mm to about 35mm on our 28-200mm zoom. Really annoying since the lens do get used quite a bit at that range. So although the Xume worked fine above that the convenience was killed by the annoyance. About the only way I could see to get around this was to buy a much larger Xume holder and use an adapter to a smaller diameter lens thread. A considerable extra cost with no guarantee it would work. Since there are no stockists in NZ (ours came from B&H) it was not something we could front up and have a play with.
Go to Amazon and search for "magnet lens filter". Are these what you are talking about?

That would probably be correct. As it is now, I have enough Xumes to keep me going. Other brands might not be compatible - and they're not cheap.

I have them for my lens caps and filters. They are "THE" best thing if you use a polarizing or ND filter. Hands down. B&H was still selling them last year. Don't know if they still have them.

Thank you for the clarification chrissybabe!
B&H has some of the holders your looking for. Have been using them for several years. The best
It's astonishing how many people just blurt out whatever vomit they think without reading the previous answers to the question - happens far too often here.
Seriously, I pointed out on page 1 that the other brand of magnetic filters does not work with the Xunes, and Jerry already pointed out they arenot in stock in the size he needs - anywhere. I know this to be true because coincidentally, I went through the same thing a few months back (see my previous note). It just sucks, to be sure, but does nobody read previous answers any more? Or is this all about feeling good by putting your (useless) two cents into the mix?
