If it was a third party scanner driver, it was probably SilverFast SE. Epson offers that as a free download for certain scanners. You need your scanner serial number.
SilverFast has more advanced versions for sale on their site.
Hamrick VueScan is also third party software that supports most scanners, but it's not generally known to be as good as SilverFast.
Epson Scan is the driver that ships with their scanners (Epson Scan 2 for Macs).
Scour the Epson support/downloads site for the V700 and you may find something else you're looking for.
