First the execution, then the conviction. How else could we ever be certain of a proper verdict ?

Kind of like PEMDAS vs. sequential left to right.... Sorry, it just popped into my mind.

Not to intentionally get side-tracked, but SO many people think M gets done before D (as well as A before S),
not understanding that each of those are done in the
order in which they appear. P-E-M&D-A&S
That just popped into my mind.

Why ask questions later ?
What could that possibly get you ?
Ask no questions, hear no lies.

That is a truism.
Soon or later the truth is reviled.
This is quickly becoming the most dysfunctional group I've known in a long time. Here in this discussion we have folks whining because someone asks about how to be more precise with language. Just a few spots away in the index of posts, some of the same people are whining because communication is too imprecise and people are too lazy to be complete and correct. More and more, this forum is revealing itself to be made up of a bunch of opinionated, unpleasant ancients with little actual regard for what is actually true and correct.
Raw isn't just a file format, it's a way of life. RAW is a source of inspiration that draws from the beliefs and values at the heart of the photography culture that exists in every corner of the world.

It’s entertainment ... roughly the same formula and cast as Dalton Abbey. Acoarst not everyone loves that show either.
It’s not an acronym so raw is the correct way to write it.

It is an acronym. It means Rasterized Analog Workflow.
Methinks it is small if you use it as an adjective, e.g. “raw image file”. But RAW if you do not provide the noun it modifies.
I note Raw is almost as prevalent as RAW.

I am in the raw camp since it describes the raw (unprocessed) data from the sensor. It's a descriptive word.
I am also in the "doesn't matter" camp since we all understand what is being described, whether it's raw or RAW (and other transmogrifications). If you want to write RAW, I will accept it. I'm a pragmatist.
