Fortunately these subjects hold very still for the shot, no high frame rate necessary.

Nice images from Zion. It is a really nice place to visit.

Thanks Ballard, I haven't seen any astrophotography from you lately, what's up?

I've been waiting for some parts for months now, the intent is to quit using the DSLR and start taking shots with a used CCD camera I got . The vendor has admitted that they screwed up the order but has been very slow to correct it (They have been blaming COVID). The weather has also been great either, but is starting to get better. Hopefully I'll be taking some shots again fairly soon. The last shots I took are of M82 back in February and some lunar shots with the DSLR. Due to the IR blocking filter in the DSLR M82 didn't show the HA gas in the galaxy as well as I would have liked. (See the links below)

Great shots - but surely a frame rate of 1 per ten thousand years is necessary to capture any movement

Hahaha, even a pinhole camera might work.

I had found it difficult to get the Meade 16 inch to stay in focus for multiple hours without using the mirror Lock, However when using the mirror lock to prevent focus drift it would always change to focus a little bit making it difficult to get perfect focus. So fix this issue I purchased a Temperature compensating focuser with very fine focus control(OPTEC TFC Leo focuser) and an Astrodon MOAG (2.7 inch Manual OffAxis Guider) with all the appropriate adapters to needed for connecting up the used SBIG 11002 Camera and filter wheel I had previous purchased. With this setup I can roughly focus with the telescope focuser, lock the mirror in position and then very arcuately focus with TFC LEO. The reseller had screwed up the order so I didn't get the adapters even though I had paid for them. So today I arranged with the actual manufacturer of the adapters to directly pick them and drove down to Rancho Cordova rather than wait for shipping. I just got back from picking up the adapters. Tomorrow I plan to set everything up and hopefully start imaging. Note: I also wanted the fine focuser for planetary imaging since getting actuate focus here was also difficult since the Schmidt Cass has slight image shift depending on the focus direction while the TFC LEO doesn't, which should make getting critical focus and keeping the planet centered at high magnification much easier.
