I've had tropical's but never salt water. I bet your tanks are beautiful.
Thank you for the info on the lighting - will have to look into that.

Hi colo, I do fresh but salt water is my passion, and if your thinking about lighting the newest thing is high power LED economical compared to halides, but nothing compares to halides when your growing live corals, the fish can care less, but the both give you flicker in the water like sunlight.

If you wouldn't mind, please take a photo of it for us to enjoy. Only if you have time to do so.
I would love to see it and the fish you have. Knowing some can be very illusive when one comes near the tank.

Thank you for showing your set up. These are very beautiful. Except for #2 - it's too creepy to be beautiful - would make a great Halloween centerpiece!

Your right DR Rae on #2 what the heck was mother nature thinking when she created this one, thanks for checking them out.

What is the wattage of the bulbs?

Hi Tainkc, The lamps are 50 watt each and the temp is 5100 kelvin perfect for this kind of photography sometimes I add an actinic lamp which is a bluer light for color, my aquarium lighting is 500 watt metal halide at 10,000 kelvin wiich simulates sunlight and I add actinics for color, I need that for 250 gallons, if I want a deep water look I go for the 20,000 kelvin for a bluer light.
