Can anyone recommend a good circular polarizer for my Canon 24-70 lens?

While I have found that picture control setup choices and post processing can minimize the need for circular polarizers, I agree that B+H is an excellent choice.

It is very important to avoid any filter with an aluminum ring. While aluminum has a remarkable strength-to-weight ratio, it is famous for seizing up when used to make a mating threaded part. Since it is easy for filter rings to get slightly out-of-round, they are particularly susceptible to trouble (getting stuck) when made of aluminum.

Magnetic filter from Kase. You can add on ND filter. There is an adapter what you screw in the lens and the filter and filter holder sticks magnetic on the adapter

I use Canon 77 Circular Polarizer Filter PL-CB ($199.95): https://www.adorama.com/ca77cplcb.html?origterm=canon+77mm+polarizing+filter&searchredirect=true
Or you could just adjust/fix in post?

Not trying to be the wise man here since the high quality filters mentioned are well know for their excellent results. I have a high quality Nikon polarizer that I bought a few years ago and I have never used. Once I tried to clean it and it was a pain you know where. A total nightmare.
The filters I use are mainly made by Tiffen and they are all old filters from the film era. No issues with them when used with digital to the point that I see no reasons to buy anything else.

Figure how often you are going to be using the polarizer. It makes no sense to me to spend big money on a polarizer that will not be used often. I also have some Hoya polarizers, also from the film era and they do very well also.
I do not use polarizers now as often as I did when I was using film. Slight underexposure makes the trick when I want to emphasize the clouds. For non metallic reflections control nothing beats a polarizer.

Hoya from B&H

I'll second that although B & W makes a great one, too. Hoya promises a very high light transmission rate and you'll only lose a single F stop. B & W's probably the same.

I bought a 95mm polarizer the other day. This one was $490.00. I bought the cheap one,

B + W Circular Polarizer Kaesemann - Standard Mount (F-PRO), HTC, 16 Layers Multi-Resistant Coating, Photography Filter, 95 mm for only $160.00.

What was the brand of the expensive filter?

B+W, Marumi, and top of the line Hoya are all excellent. At different times I have used all three and all performed very well and are of excellent build quality. The website LensTip has done comparative reviews of circular polarizers and rated these three brands at the top of the rankings.

Was surprised no one mentioned Marumi till now. Their thin one is excellent.

Thin is needed for ultra wide angle; about 14 mm on full frame, to not see the filter in the frame.

Lee is one of the most expensive filters on the market. That does not necessary make them the best, but I will agree that they are one of the most expensive.
