I wear my camera strap on my right shoulder then crossing my chest and going under my left armpit. Impossible for the camera to fall off. Added bonus: very difficult for someone to grab my camera and run.

I second Peak Design. They make straps in 3 widths for light to heavy camera rigs. The straps have a rubberised side for shoulder wear and a slick side for wearing like a sling strap cross-body. I find the cross-body solution is the best as it distributes the weight more evenly and is very secure. When used that way with the slick side of the strap against your body it slides when you pick up the camera. It works great.

Try the Peak Design straps. Several different widths and they have a no slip side. Sling strap is great as on the fly adjustment is built in

I carry all cameras cross shoulders, like a bandolier. First, it does not slip, second the camera does not swing at all risking damage. The camera stays close to my body, yet I can pull the camera into position easily to shoot. If I am somewhere where I am going to shoot a lot I slip my arm through the strap so I just have the sling around my neck. I use OpTech with no issues.

Cross body straps are great when you’re walking along carrying your camera slung down by your side ready for action and as people say, don’t slip off the shoulder. Only problem is when you come to use your camera and lift it up to your eye, a little bit of movement and it slips off your shoulder. This is what I find with my Black Rapid straps.

Not if it has a retention strap, like the CarrySpeed mentioned above.

Try the Peak Design Slide strap - it is easy to adjust and has some kind of rubberized grippy material so it does not slip.

Peak design straps cross body is best but have rubberized side if you really want to carry off one shoulder.
