Thanks for the info, maybe someday I'll make the trip down there.
Stunning photograph of a great car. Most of all...no ugly reflections in the silver paint anywhere, Wow is all !
Every time i see one of your post's i make it a point to look at it, i know it's going to be a great photo of a classic automobile.
I owned a 1937 Studebaker hearse when I was in high school. The grill and front end looked much the same as this one. My friends and I had fun with it.

Is this the original color? This is a beautiful car regardless. In So Cal I had a Studebaker Sports Coupe in the late 50's and felt it was a 'dreamer', while most of my friends cowered at it. They thought their 40' Ford coupes were better. Maybe they were but I still miss that car. I had it French rolled in Mexico and was afraid they would put drugs in the rolls and at the border so I stayed their 'til they were finished. The US Border Patrol were akin to their practices.
Yes, they did that a lot in the old days. The upholstery business in Mexico was good then, they did a good job with white tuck and rolls in the car which was a light blue with a white top. The hill holder was one of it best features.

I'll bet you had a 'good time' in that hearse!!! The girl's liked it also! I was a funeral director and know the hearses from the days of covered wagons to the ones we have now-what a change.
In Houston is a Mortuary Museum that has many items of the past

Nicely photographed. Beautiful old Stude'. I can remember being in high school and seeing the Studebaker Avanti in a showroom. Mid sixties?
