On our local free to advertise buy & sell website (serving about 150,000 people) there are for sale 36 Canons of various models and only 15 Nikons. Not that I'm a Nikon fan per se however it does, I think, indicate more people hang on to their Nikons and more people dump their Canons ( I have two Nikons, two Canons, one Lumix and one Olympus so I'm NOT biased )

The most rental cameras in the UK have been Canon by far and the Canon R5 is the most desired camera

Look at the buy/sell section here on the UHH. I scrolled just a little in the most current posts and found nine (9)Nikon for sale vs two (2) Canon. So I'll let you chew on that.

Could just be that Canon owners out number Nikon owners by a large percentage. I believe in recent years that pretty much a given.

It might also be that us die-hard Nikonians are keeping our gear, and the Cannonistas are switching to R5 or R6.

I recently watched the documentary Dianna: In Her Own Words on Netflix in the US. Virtually all of the press and paparazzi used Nikon cameras. Things have obviously changed since the 1990s, and they will continue to change. Perhaps Sony will take things over.

Who gives a crap - I invested in an entirely satisfactory system 52 years ago and it has never let me down. Whenever I see vs. there is a high chance of simple provocation or Trolling.

Cooking a fancy dinner always grouches me up a little. The fire is going, the wine is breathing, soon to get mouth to mouth help! And Happy New Year to you as well!

Did you just check the site one time? Maybe if you came back in a week or a month, the numbers might be different. And other buy/sell websites could give different results.
