I was supposed to be trying to duplicate the photo Liam posted here:
https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-679118-1.html

Guess I went off on a bit of a tangent 😁 The sun is real, shot in my car's rearview mirror in March. Horses are a brush I made from a photo, trees are free brushes from brusheezy.com. The rest is shown in the screenprint.

I suspect the white area is too large for some people's tastes? Questions, feedback, edits are welcome!

Another one that stopped me in my tracks. For me the white area is not too big but perhaps a little too bright. Thanks for showing the work flow but it is so far beyond my abilities I'm not sure what it is showing me.

Murphy and I wish you and Trixie (?) a Merry Christmas and a better New Year.

Thank you Jack! I'm confident there is nothing in the workflow that you haven't done before

The multiple layers that are unlabeled are simply the stamped brush elements: 3 kinds of trees, and the horses. Putting each on separate layer makes for ease of moving/resizing/flipping/deleting.

A couple of bokeh "texture" layers in different blend modes, a layer of a Nik filter to slightly change colors, and that's pretty much it.

Merry Christmas to your family of two-legged and four-legged and flying loved ones.

You're right I have done all of that but the secret is your ability to put them together, in the right order, to produce such a pleasing result.

That's a beautiful tree and I love the horses, of courses. Not sure about the big spot. Maybe not so bright? Right now it's the focal point of the design, and perhaps that's what you want. To me, the focal point would be the tree and/or the horses with the circle taking second fiddle (or even fifth, maybe.).

Much appreciated, John. It was relatively easy to create since the trees and horses are just "stamped" on. Then, a few experiments with various overlays/textures and different blend modes.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.
