Bud, Great image. What do you think of buying it with me and we restore it back to its original beauty?

That would take more work than I am capable of at my age (90)

Agreed. They also make excellent photography studios, if they have a large sliding or double door facing S or W. Unfortunately, this one looks to have lost most of its roof trusses; unlikely to make for a cost-effective repair.

It is on a nice piece of property so I expect that one of these days someone will build a new house there.

The next time I drive by I will try to get a shot showing more of the interior

Nice shot. This barn's best days are well behind it.

Needs more than a new roof. This barn is less than two miles from my house so I will check and photo it's downfall about every few weeks.

Very interesting. I have a barn a half mile from my home that I have been photographing through it's stages for the last 15 yrs. It is now in the shape of the one in your photo, perhaps somewhat worse.

i wish i had started on this a few years back. There is also another barn a few hundred yards down the road from this one so on my next trip i plan to photo both.

Once the roof goes, the rest goes quickly. "Quickly" being a relative term in it's overall life. It might still be ten years before this thing falls.

Very nice shot, Bud. That's a real hazard to walk into or even close by.

Thanks. I can get pretty good shots without leaving my car. When I go out tomorrow, I’m going to detour by the barn. Will only add about a mile to my trip
