I've been there a few times and its a very interesting cemetery. Really interesting terrain and views, its pretty hilly and you can get a great view of parts of the city.
IIRC one of the CIA leaders that helped to install the Shah of Iran is also buried there.
Booth's grave is kind of unmarked but its there with the rest of the Booth family, they were from Bel Air MD and might have moved to Havre de Grace, MD later on.
There is a larger marker that has the name BOOTH in big letters that people put Pennies in. Interesting side story is they buried Booth in the dark of night so know one would know. When the congregation of the Church found out that their Preacher did the internment they fired him. LOL.

I live in Bmore so a note of caution. That area is pretty rough caution is warranted outside the gate.

If you visit, you can park in the cemetery. I walked a portion and circled back to my car. I then drove through and stopped and took pictures. I probably came across 15 people all day. By the way, you have to call to be admitted as the gate is always closed.

Here is the link to the person who used to give tours.
I've done it twice, the most recent being about 2 years ago.
I'm not sure if he still does the tour or not especially now with Covid and all.
I highly recommend it. He gave an excellent tour, has an amazing amount of knowledge and sprinkled in all the "hot gossip" and "rumors" and "salacious" details that really made it fun.

Nice set of images. The last one, the marker for John Wilkes Booth's grave, bears further comment. The pennies that are on the top of the marker are all Lincoln pennies, placed with Lincoln facing up toward heaven. It's done as a slap at Booth. My second favorite cemetery is Mount Auburn in Cambridge, Mass. Edwin Booth, John Wilkes' brother, is buried there.

And in the irony dept of all ironies...
Edwin Booth saved Abraham Lincoln's son, Robert, from serious injury or even death. The incident occurred on a train platform in Jersey City, New Jersey. The exact date of the incident is uncertain, but it is believed to have taken place in late 1864 or early 1865.

I live there too and would not walk around the area with a camera around my neck.

That gets mentioned sometimes when I post pictures of Baltimore. I've taken pictures at Patterson Park, the Inner Harbor, downtown (Howard St.), Mount Vernon, Bolton Hill, Union Square, Druid Hill Park, Grafitti Alley, Charles Village, Fells Point, Federal Hill (at night), etc. I've never encountered a problem. I guess I'm just lucky. By the way, the gate to the cemetery is locked. You have to call to be admitted. And judging by the barbed wire on the walls I don't think anyone is climbing over it.

When I visited Green Mount, some time last year, I was unaware of any potential for a problem. I spent about two hours there, walking around and taking pictures. At no point did I feel threatened or in a place that was unsafe. I think we all have to put on some street smarts when we drape a pricey camera around our neck, but that's true anywhere we go.

A beautiful set. #5 is a really great capture of the season. With a little imagination #4 shows the souls interred to be leaving the graveyard -- perfect for a Halloween photo. Mahalo for sharing.
