Yes. It is the very bests DSLR ever made by Nikon and I have 12 of them.
David, What do you do with 12 D850?

Hope this is as a straight foward question as I would like it to be. For owners of the D 850 after using the D 850 would you buy again after your experience with it?
Without a doubt.
It's Full Frame abilities coupled with it's almost 20mp DX mode make it a very versatile camera.
And, for those occasions you want smaller files it will do that too.

i would but have been thinking of the new mirrorless because of the weight. i put a battery pack on mine and it made it very heavy. but love how i can get that shot that i couldn't before because of the MP.
Yes, without question. (But note also I have other cameras when a FF DLSR isn't the best tool for the job.)

Take the battery pack off.
Will you be putting a battery pack on your mirrorless camera?

It’s the rocking motion. Don’t wait until you’re old and grey to try it for yourself.
I keep thinking I need an 850.
I currently shoot with an 800E.

LOL, Bill does lots of rocking!
I've only been retired for ten years and haven't had time!

cedymock while I don't shoot the D850 I have used the D810 for several years now, and I would not likely buy it again... Simply rarely need the excessive resolution... it did help a tad with League Soccer for cropping but that's no longer on the table since covid19 canceled all league play this year and for the foreseeable future...
A serious consideration in my humble estimation is the new Z6II (you would probably like the Z7II cedymock)
The D850's bloated file size is a major turn off for me (and other commercial shooters) albeit hobbyist seem to love this resolution :)
Best Advice?
Please study the latest Nikon Advert on their Flagship Pro mirrorless offerings...
I'm very impressed if they manage to bring these two platforms to market.
Thinking your D850 may look like yesterdays leftovers in the eyes of many avid enthusiast...

Don't you have a choice of file sizes with the D850? Isn't it nice to have the larger file sizes available when needed. You don't have to use them all the time.

I already have it, so if ever, lost, broken or stolen I'm moving on to mirrorless.........
