Print viewer will not be comparing the print to any other printer.
Only the print originator knows if the printer performed how he wanted it to perform.
We have a Canon PIXMA TR-8520, works great for us.
Been using Canon for MANY years.
Saw the 8520 on-line, bought it.
Life is uncomplicated.
Interesting that your criteria don't include print quality. Just because the viewer won't know another printer might make a better print doesn't mean print quality isn't a consideration.
