As a newbie, I thought you may like to see a few shots of the Welsh countryside. These are taken in the Brecon Beacons.
Enjoy...!

I love the way the blue colors are graduated in #1. Wales is a beautiful country. I wish I knew how to pronounce the names of these areas. Is 'Y" like "E"?

'Y' is pronounced like the'er' in'her', 'Pen' is the same as in English and 'Fan' is pronounced 'Van'......! Hope this helps..... :D

Yes it does. I find it fascinating. I have a shirt that says " prifysgol cymru" I know that Cymru is Wales but I know I have botched the pronunciation big time. How would You say this? I would love to learn the language but would lose it if I didn't use it.

Having walked Pen-y-Fan once and not had the light that you obviously had I enjoyed these.

If you ever get to north Powys I would enjoy taking you to a couple of waterfalls in the Llyn Vyrnwy catchment. But only if you can guarantee to bring the same light with you.

Gamlaman, these were taken earlier this spring. It meant a 7.00am start from the car park in the Beacons, but we were well rewarded......! Temperature, if I remember right at 7.00am - +2c...., long johns a must......!
Would love to do the waterfalls at some time....., can't guarantee the light - can guarantee a full hip flask though.....

The hip flask is for afters. For the next few months lots of coffee, full waterproofs, boots and walking poles. And a tripod if you have enough hands.
