Thank you George, I like that one too for its intense structures - did you do a double download to see the endless details in the glass?

Yes. The detail is amazing. Makes for an interesting abstract.

Here we come into the photographers "candy store":

Besides the very large numbers of mosaic stone inlays and some wooden decorative pieces, there are good number of glass windows and doors treated in a very artistic way. While the wooden elements and certainly the ceramics are quite common decorative elements within mosques in many lands, the treatment of glass in this particular mosque, as shown in this set, is something rather unusual and I personally was very much attracted by it. This is our final look at this mosque and the last set of pictures from inside the mosque concentrates on these glass-etchings and -mosaics.

I suggest using the double-downloads on some of these pictures, effective particularly on #s 8 & 10.

I look forward to your comments and questions and recommend viewing the downloads.

Thank you very much Eugene for your kind comment - yes the adventure continues for another couple of weeks, tomorrow we will start with Dubai, both its ultra-modern form and its colorful old section - thanks for keeping up with the tour!

Joe, Peggy and I were just looking at No. 8 again and we both agreed that in the high magnification this is an absolutely beautiful abstract. I could see it hanging on a wall sized around 30x40 or larger. Every time I look at it I like it more.

Thank you sb, I appreciate your kind words and am pleased that you like this set. I don't know whether you managed to see the earlier sets in the mosque, unfortunately I didn't have enough clicks to make it into the digest, but in my humble opinion there were some other quite interesting shots also from the external and internal architecture as well as the wall-inlay work. If you haven't seen these, you might want to go back to them (basically sets 46-48). Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment!

Thanks George - I feel like to can get lost in that one picture alone - it feels just like looking into a never-ending kaleidoscope. Take care and say hi to Peggy - Joe
