All recent studies using double blind methods have shown that HCQ does not prevent, treat or cure COVID-19.

I would say that everywhere but the US was utilizing the methods strongly suggested by the WHO and the scientific community of experts in virology and epidemiology (those who have studied and successfully completed advanced learning in their field, not those who had barely passing grades in basic science) self distancing, hand washing, masks, and avoidance of crowds. The various states that did not follow those guidelines carefully and allowed their populace to roam free, go without masks and congregate in large crowds have shown a large increase in both confirmed cases and deaths.
An earlier post mentioned that a health organization back in March, predicted 2.2 million deaths in the US by September 1, 2020. Well today is August 2 and there have been slightly more than 1.5 million deaths in the US from COVID-19. That is almost 75% of the prediction and with all the naysayers regarding mask use, people wearing the mask improperly, no self distancing, that prediction may very well come true, or at least get very close to accurate.

Any blind tests?
Do a google search for hydroxychloroquine and COVID-19. There have been numerous anecdotal reports of improvement with its use, but current reports cite studies, double blind ones, that refute its efficacy in treatment or cure.
You need a prescription. However other people need it for Lupus and other hereditary medical problems .Since the government bought up so much, there has been a shortage for people who really need it and use it

So, the government should sell it to those who need it.
