Our sixth grade class made a field trip to Brookfield Zoo in 1939. I had a camera about and inch and a half square that strapped on to my wrist. Nothing remains of camera or pictures, but I know this: your pictures are better than mine were.

Great job! I've been hesitant to plan a visit thinking the animals will be hard to find being off sleeping in the summer heat. Maybe not.

Excellent pictures. I haven't been to Brookfield zoo for many years. I grew up in a distant suburb.

I wasn't quite a gleam in my dads eye back in 1939... But I was born 9 months after he returned from the war.... Thanks much for your visit and comment

I think they were happy to see some people! It was worth the trip... It was very nice in the fact that they limited the number of people and it was by reservation only for members... It will be opening up to everyone soon... Thanks for the nice compliment, I might not always comment but i do enjoy your work...

Thanks, They are new as both the older ones passed away not too long ago... was very sad... fortunately i have many shots of the older ones.... They are one of the primary reasons for the visit however it is a really nice zoo and i took way too many shots to show all... No inside displays were open yet ..
