These monuments are so necessary. I mean, look at Germany. No one remembers WWII because there aren't any statues of Hitler to remind them.
Truth is, that the monuments of Confederate traitors should never have been erected in the first place. Most of them were put up in the early 20th Century and truly were put there as a reminder of white supremacy. Honoring the fallen has nothing to do with it. Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and the others were traitors and should have been hanged at the end of the war but Lincoln didn't think it was a good idea.
Apparently, Booth wasn't opposed to killing and like a coward, he shot Lincoln in the back of his head so he wouldn't have to see him.
I'm somewhat surprised that the southern states don't have a statue of Booth.

You can look at those confederate status as a reminder of what we should not do. You ask high school Gradustes. when was the civil war? They have no idea. Ask then who did we fight in the civil war? they don't know. Those kind of things are not being taught today. The liberal teachers-and professors., are no longer teaching, they are indoctrinating. As above--those who don't have a past-don't have a future. The liberal/socialists know this, and are using the peoples ignorance to control them
